A 2:3 image is 2 units wide for every 3 units high. Exact sizes include 1200 x 1800 and 2000 x 3000 pixels. It is the portrait version of 3:2 and is taller than 4:5 or 3:4, with a shape that also matches several common print sizes.

What 2:3 means

Width occupies two parts while height occupies three, producing a decimal value of 0.6667. Multiply width by 1.5 to calculate the matching height.

How it compares

A 2:3 portrait is narrower than 3:4 and 4:5. It works well for full-length subjects, but a near-square photo needs more side cropping or padding.
