Editorial and Update Policy

Learn how AspectDock verifies ratio calculations, reviews primary sources, maintains update dates, handles platform specifications, and corrects content errors.

How we check information

We test ratio calculations against the formulas shown on the site. Dimension tables are checked by cross-multiplication, and image fitting modes are tested against their expected crop and padding directions. When a guide mentions a platform size, we use the platform's own current documentation when it is available.

When we review pages

We review formulas and ratio guides after relevant changes and at least once a year. We schedule platform-specific sizes for review every three months because they can change more often. The date on each page shows the latest completed review.

Sources and limits

Mathematical ratio guidance is based on the formulas shown on each page. Platform sizes come from linked first-party documentation where available. A platform can change its requirements without notice, and a listed size does not guarantee acceptance by that platform.

Corrections

A useful error report includes the page, the value in question, the expected correction, and a primary source when available. We check the affected calculation or source before changing the page, and update its review date after that check is complete.
